You will be expected to play in a huge variety of musical styles including jazz, pop, rock, musical theatre, opera, country, reggae, motown, and many more!

Drummers

You should have experience playing both with and without click tracks. You should also be familiar with an enormous amount of styles and grooves and be able to execute them faithfully.

Bassists

You should have an impeccable sense of groove and the ability to 'lock in' with the drummer. Ability to play upright bass is a bonus!

Pianists

You should be comfortable playing in ensembles, as a soloist, and accompanying vocalists.

Guitarists

You should be comfortable playing in ensembles and as a soloist. A knowledge of iconic guitar solos and riffs is also highly recommended.

Trumpeters (doubling)

You should have an impressive lead trumpet range and be extremely versatile. You will often be expected to lead a horn section and occasionally double on flugelhorn.

Trombonists

You should have an extensive range that covers both high and low registers and be able to blend seamlessly as part of a horn section.

Saxophonists (Doubling)

You should be an accomplished improviser on alto and tenor  saxophone and be comfortable playing both flute and clarinet.

Soloists, Duos, and Bands

All soloists, duos, and bands should have a large and diverse repertoire with an engaging stage presence that leaves your audiences captivated and asking for more!

Solo Guitar Vocalists

You should be an engaging performer able to stage intimate solo sets, more upbeat singalongs, and occasional instrumental background music sets.

Solo Pianists

You are usually expected to function as background music in public areas but occasionally you may be required to undertake other functions such as weddings or religious services.

Singing Pianists

You will usually have a dedicated venue onboard, meaning you will need to be a highly engaging entertainer that can read an audience and take requests on the fly!

Violin Duos

You will usually perform as a duo in public spaces but on occasion you may be asked to undertake other functions such as joint performances with other groups or background music for private functions.

Party Bands

You will be the musical stars of the ship! Your audiences will get to know your band members on a first name basis as they enjoy your high energy party music during the voyage.

Percussionists

You should be proficient at bongos, congas, and other small percussion instruments. You will perform alongside other musical groups to boost the audience experience to another level!
